There is always something going on around town.  .  .  movie screenings at the library, the mayor of Milton soiree at the First Parish Church and. . . the smelts making their run up the Neponset! Thousands of these little sons of guns could be found this past week end doing what smelts do.

Celebrate Patriot’s Day at the historic Suffolk Resolves House

The Milton Historical Society is hosting an Open House from 1 to 3 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the Suffolk Resolves House, 1370 Canton Avenue, Milton.

In 1774, delegates to the Suffolk County Convention came here to set the stage for Paul Revere’s famous ride and the Battles of Lexington and Concord.

Milton Players to stage Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Milton Players of Milton, Mass. announce DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS. The show is directed by Glenn Kane, with music and lyrics by David Yazbek and book by Jeffrey Lane, and is based on the movie of the same name, with music direction by Jason Whiting and choreography by Kimberly A. Tremlett.

Representative Timilty announces Small Business Forum

Representative Walter Timilty (D–Milton) is pleased to announce a Small Business Resource Forum on Wednesday April, 4th from 11AM until noon at the State House. The forum will include a presentation of federal, state and private sector resources available to small businesses and new initiatives in the legislature to help small businesses.

Quincy, Milton police honored for help in federal case

The Quincy and Milton police department were recognized for their assistance in federal prosecutions by U.S. Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz.

The two departments were involved in the investigation that led to the conviction of three men on charges of bank fraud, aggravated identity theft and using counterfeit bank cards at ATM machines. (Read the full story here.)
