League of Women Voters call for questions!

Update – we recently put out a request for questions re: the Milton Speaks debate. However, the League of Women Voters is also hosting a candidates’ night. Given the formats of the respective debates it makes more sense to send questions you have of the candidates to the League of Women Voters. Please do that!

You can attend the debate in person on Wednesday, April 6th @ 7:00pm. Please see the details here. If you cannot attend in person, you can submit your question here.

You can also visit the League of Women Voters home page here.

There was a bad accident on I93 in Randolph

Audience sparse but vocal at hearing on School Budget

The Milton School Administration together with the School Committee held an open hearing on the FY11 budget. In a presentation that detailed cuts and costs, Ms. Gormley, Superintendent of Schools explained the impacts at all levels of the system. She was joined by Matt Gillis, School Business Administrator, and John Phelan, Assistant Superintendent.  The good news was that the bad news was not as bad as it might have been.

Margaret Eberhardt throws her hat into race for School Committee

Margaret Eberhardt has officially announced that she is in the running for one of two seats open on the School Committee. One seat is vacant due to Beirne Lovely retiring from the committee, the second is Glenn Pavlicek’s. He is up for re-election. There are three other candidates competing for the spots.
