The featured speaker was Dan Magoon who is spearheading an effort to create a Memorial to the Fallen Heroes who died in Iraq and Afghanistan — Mr Magoon, who quoted the Army motto, “Fortuna Infortuna Forti Una”. Last week MIlton elementary students saluted our nation’s veterans. An especially poignant event took place at Cunningham School where veterans congregated, military personnel raised the flag, and students read letters of thanks. Today’s Milton observance is at 10:30 with a short parade from MHS to Town Hall.
