Jack was a great and generous man and brought much joy and laughter to my family over the years! He was one of my dad’s best friends. My mom was pregnant with me and bedridden on doctors orders when Jack and Jean were married. The whole wedding party came to see my mom between the church and reception.

He gave me one of my first jobs keeping the cars that were for sale clean from dirt, dust and in the winter snow. One Saturday morning Jack pulled into the service area of Fore River Motors with a very expensive Ferrari. He parked in the middle of the garage and ran into his office. I was pulling a customer trade in, into the garage to wash it (maybe a little faster than I should have). Low and behold I pressed the brake pedal and nothing happened. Right in front of me was that Ferrari. I turned the wheel and smashed into a Mercury Marquis, the Marquis hit the parts truck and the parts truck hit the service counter. Jack and the other bosses all ran back into the garage and because I did not hit the Ferrari everything was fine.

We were not members of his family but we were certainly treated like one. Jack will be missed by many. His kindness to me and my family will be a bright spot on my heart for the rest of my life.
