Reminder: Granite Ave study committee invites public input

The Granite Avenue Study Committee, which has been tasked with identifying desirable revenue generating options of the Park and Ride lot on Granite Ave, is adding a “Citizen Speak” item to their agenda. All residents are invited to speak on their ideas for how the property could provide beneficial amenities and tax revenue for the town. The land currently belongs to the Department of Transportation and Senator Joyce has been in discussions for Milton to acquire it.

The Granite Avenue Committee meets Tuesday 11/19 at 7:00PM in the Baker Conference Room at Town Hall.

The Amazing Mr. Moonan

The Amazing Mr. Moonan

The Milken award is special. And the accolades and the check (It’s a lot of money!) that accompany it are special. But what was really special yesterday was the spontaneous and exuberant cheer that rose like a roar from the students when Mr. Moonan, a Pierce Middel School math teacher’s name was announced and the humble, heartfelt remarks that he made. There were tears among some in the crowd – that’s how special it was.

LEPC Notice: Preparing for the upcoming winter

Notice from the LEPC
We experienced two dramatically different winters last year.  During December and January Milton experienced very little precipitation.  The days were mainly sunny and we were looking at having a second green winter.  Then February and March hit us with a fury.  The town experienced multiple heavy snowstorms.  There were many power outages and school was cancelled on a few different days.
