TODAY 4/5 – Golf Team Collects ‘Cans for Cats’

The Milton High School Boosters “Cans for Cats” can & bottle recycling drive will be held on Saturday, April 5th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Milton High School. The field golf team will be at the front entrance of the high school, 25 Gile Road, to collect your 5 cent cans and bottles to redeem them for cash. All funds earned will support their program. Congressman Lynch opens 2014 Congressional Art Competition for district high school students

Congressman Stephen F. Lynch has announced the opening of “An Artistic Discovery,” the 2014 Annual Congressional Art Competition. This competition is open to all high school students who reside in the 8th Congressional District.  The winner will have his or her work displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a full year. Additionally, there will be a reception in Washington, D.C., for all art competition winners and their families to celebrate the opening of the exhibit.

The Milton DPW is a municipal beehive of activity. Joe Lynch, Director of the DPW, reviewed the status of a number of initiative and projects. In the hour + it took him to deliver his quarterly report, he covered everything from an update on the water main replacement program and waste contracts to MWRA rate projections and potholes. St. Michael’s Church Welcomes New Youth Coordinator
