Boston marathon push chair duo, Alosha O’Brien and Craig Welton, seek support for Best Buddies
Next weekend a push-chair duo competing in the 2014 Boston Marathon to raise funds and awareness for Best Buddies Massachusetts will be selling bracelets after all masses at St. Mary’s. Masses are at 8:00 a.m, 10:15 a.m., and 12 noon.

Teen Creative Writing Workshop with Kathryn Burak
On Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m., the Milton Public Library will host a creative writing workshop led by Kathryn Burak for local teens. Ms. Burak is a Milton resident, a teacher at Boston University, the poetry editor at YARN (yareview.net), and the author of the Edgar Award-nominated young adult novel, Emily’s Dress and Other Missing Things.
Election 2014 Candidate Forums
There will be three opportunities for voters to hear from candidates first hand starting this Monday evening. The independent forums, which have become routine events on the election calendar, are somewhat different in format. They are sponsored by Milton Access TV, the Council on Aging and 02186 / MyTownMatters. Here is the schedule:
Voter registration closes for annual town election Wednesday, 4/9
The Board of Registrars is announcing that the last day to register to vote for the Annual Town Election is WEDNESDAY APRIL 9, 2014. The Office of the Town Clerk will remain open until 8:00 P.M. on that evening to assist Milton residents who are not presently registered to vote and wish to vote in the Annual Town Election on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

T. Nicholas Phakos watercolor exhibit, A Lifetime of Paintings, on display at MAC
An exhibit of Watercolors by T. Nicholas Phakos, A Lifetime of Paintings, will run at the Milton Art Center from April 1st through May 3rd. The gallery will be open during classes and every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm for viewing. A free special opening will be held on Friday, April 11 from 6:30 to 8:30pm to commemorate this exhibit and distinguished Milton artist.
