St. Mary of the Hills School Welcomes Principal Mary Carberry
St. Mary of the Hills School, a private, coeducational Catholic elementary school, announced Mary Carberry as its new principal beginning July 1.
A Milton resident for more than 30 years, Carberry began her teaching career at St. Mary’s in 1984 and is delighted to return to the school in a leadership role.

Brookwood Community Farm hosts 6th Annual Seedling Sale & Pancake Breakfast
Don’t miss Brookwood Community Farm’s annual Wake Up the Farm Pancake Breakfast and Seedling Sale! This year’s event will take place Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at Brookwood Farm, 11 Blue Hill River Road in Canton. The pancake breakfast will be served 9:00-11:00am on Saturday only; suggested donation $10 per person or $25 per family.

I am writing to thank the voters of Milton for electing me to the position of Trustee of the Milton Public Library. I am both humbled and delighted to have been elected to this position and I look forward to joining the other Trustees in the governance of the Library. Despite the many challenges the Town faces, I am optimistic about the future of the Library and its critical contribution to the intellectual and cultural life of Milton.
Riverside Theatre Works Present “Cabaret”
Come to the Cabaret! Riverside Theatre Works presents the multi-Tony-winning musical, Cabaret, beginning May 9 and running through May 18 at the historic French’s Opera House in Hyde Park.
Based on a book written by Christopher Isherwood, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Cabaret is based on John Van Druten’s 1951 play I Am a Camera. Set in 1931, the show is based at the seedy Kit Kat Klub,

Hemenway Drive residents seek scenic designation to thwart 40B

According to a recent article in the Boston Globe (Highway plan heads to Town Meeting vote) Canton residents of Hemenway Drive are seeking to have their street designated as a scenic way. The initiative is part of their efforts to prevent the construction of Milton Mews a large 40B apartment complex being developed by Mill Creek Residential on Brush Hill Road in Milton.
