Concert to be Held to Honor Veterans
The Quincy Choral Society has been invited to participate in the National Memorial Day Choral Festival at the end of this month. The only choral group in New England to be chosen, the chorus, including 15 residents from Milton, will join with other choral groups from across the nation.

The trustees of Milton Cemetery and Therese Desmond, superintendent, cordially invite the public to join then on Flag Day, June 14th for an historical walking tour at the Milton Cemetery. This tour is in response to public demand, and will begin with the raising of the flag at 10 A.M. at the front gate on Centre Street.
All Concerts will be held from 6:00PM – 7:30PM at the Baron Hugo Gazebo on the Town Green at the Town Hall

It’s a fact: our Commonwealth’s current Bottle Bill, dating back to 1982, is the state’s most successful litter prevention program: carbonated beverages bearing a 5-cent deposit are redeemed/ recycled at a rate exceeding 80%. Unfortunately, many of today’s most popular beverages — bottled water, tea, juice, and sports drinks — didn’t exist back then and are not part of the nickel deposit program.

State Senator Brian Joyce is chairman of the Legislature’s Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures, and State Assets. The Milton Democrat is fond of saying that bond bills may seem unsexy, but they determine how much Massachusetts taxpayers will have to shell out for major projects today and in the future.
