Milton senator seeks to tax medical marijuana

While saying he was disappointed that his amendment was ruled out of order Tuesday, Milton Sen. Brian Joyce told his colleagues during debate on substance abuse treatment legislation that he looked forward to Senate budget debate next week when he intends to push a proposal to make medical marijuana subject to the sales tax. Brief bits: Date set for 2nd Annual Milton Music Fest, Relay for Life raises ~$20,000, & those Hendries signs

Last year the Milton’s 350th birthday celebration took place on Hutchinson Field with a concert and fireworks display. It will be back this year. The date is June 21st – same place. The event is organized by We Are Milton and made possible through generous funding from The Copeland Foundation. But there’s more – there will also be a Celtic Celebration the following day, June 22nd. Details to be announced.

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton’s 2014 Enchanted Evening Gala Breaks Records for Attendance and Fundraising

Over $220,000 raised to support the hospital’s mission to provide high quality, community-based healthcare with compassion, dignity and respect and preserve the legacy of accessible healthcare for the next generation.

A crowd of nearly 500 hospital supporters danced the night away to the sounds of the Soul City Band at Lombardos last Saturday night, and it was all for a great cause.

Executives and employees of Seasons Hospice, Milton officials, and local residents convened at the site of the old St. Elizabeth’s Rectory yesterday afternoon for a groundbreaking celebration to welcome Seasons to our town. It was a warm occasion in every sense as Seasons marked an historic event for the company. This will be their first in patient care facility in Massachusetts.

Notice: Brookwood Pancake B’fast postponed
