The Massachusetts Housing Partnership sent a letter of eligibility to Steve Connelly, a principal at Carrick Realty, informing him that his request for determination of preliminary project eligibility for an apartment building consisting of 57 units (49 two bedroom and 8 three bedroom) has been approved.

On Wednesday, June 25 from 6 to 8pm, try your hand at Van Gogh’s Starry Night! This pastel painting workshop is designed for teens, both sheer beginners to advanced participants who want to paint expressively. The Milton Library welcomes back Gregory Maichack, a faculty member of the Springfield Museum Studio School, who will explain exciting Post Impressionist concepts and then start you off by sharing a fearless approach to drawing.

At a recent meeting of the Board of Selectmen Steve O’Donnell of the Milton Historical Commission and Jess Phelps of Historic New England gave the members an update on the Eustis Estate. The primary topic was actually the sale of a ranch house that abuts the Eustis estate.

Following our worship service on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, Moderator Vicki Nelson convened a special all-church meeting for the purpose of voting on the Search Committee’s recommendation to call Rev. Michele Davis as East Church’s next Settled Pastor. The vote was swift and unanimous.
Fontbonne Academy Summer Theatre camp is ready to dive into its fourth exciting year! Students will experience the wonders of live theatre as they act, sing, dance, as well as take part in costume and set design. This camp offers the excitement of putting on a play from start to finish, and teaches campers the importance of teamwork and dedication.
After three years of searching for a new spiritual home, members and guests of Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills will break ground for a new synagogue on a new road, Shoolman Way, off Lodge Street in Milton, on Sunday, June 22nd at 4:00 p.m. The bucolic location for the new building was generously donated to the congregation by Marvin and Andrea Gordon, and it has a singular historical significance.

Dan Cullinane, who is running for re-election as State Representative, got a key endorsement from hte new big guy in Boston, Mayor Marty Walsh. Cullinane, who represents Precincts 1 and 2 in Milton, held a campaign event recently at ester’s in Lower Mills attended by the Mayor Marty Walsh.
