Teen Pastel Painting Workshop with Gregory Maichack

On Wednesday, June 25 from 6 to 8pm, try your hand at Van Gogh’s Starry Night! This pastel painting workshop is designed for teens, both sheer beginners to advanced participants who want to paint expressively. The Milton Library welcomes back Gregory Maichack, a faculty member of the Springfield Museum Studio School, who will explain exciting Post Impressionist concepts and then start you off by sharing a fearless approach to drawing.

You will then find it effortless to work in tandem with the artist expressively drawing Starry Night with white charcoal pencils on black paper. This workshop includes all materials and all get to keep their pastel painting(s). Open to ages 12 to 18. Admission is free and program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Space is limited. Advance registration is recommended. Register at the library’s website www.miltonlibrary.org. For more information on this and other teen events at the Milton Public Library, please contact Amy Rosa, Young Adult Librarian, at (617)-698-5757 or aboivin@ocln.org.
