MPD Notice: Central Ave construction to begin at 6:00AM on 6/30

Notice from the Milton Police Department

ATTENTION AM COMMUTERS and residents of the Central Avenue (Kerrigans Corner) neighborhood. The Central Ave. repaving project is in full swing. On Monday, June 30, we are allowing the contractor to begin work on the intersection of Brook Road/Central Avenue/Reedsdale Road at 6 AM. We feel that by allowing the early start for one or two days, will help expedite resurfacing this section. It will also allow the contractor a good hour and a half before the morning commute builds, to tackle this effort. Thank you for your patience and attention.

At last week’s meeting of the Board of Selectmen Animal League President and attorney Marion McEttrick appeared to propose the idea of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the town and league that would serve as a non-binding agreement that outlines the terms of operation for the shelter, roles and responsibilities. The Animal League, a local non-profit organization, has been struggling for years to identify a property and construct a new shelter. They have asked Ms. McEttrick to assist in developing a strategy to resolve the issue of a new shelter.
