Street Schedule for Trash Collection & Yard Waste Schedule
The MiltonDPW has published a street schedule for trash collection. This may be the easiest way to confirm when your trash will be collected beginning next week (Monday, June 30). You can find the street schedule here. The DPW has also published a yard waste schedule here. More information about changes in trash collection can be found here.
Missing woman found
Last night Milton residents received a call from the Milton Police regarding a senior citizen who had gone missing. The MPD posted the following on their Facebook page this morning:
PLEASE be advised the missing 70 year old from 30 Curtis Rd. has been located at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She is ok and being moved to Cambridge PD. Milton units are on the way to CPD to transport her back to her family in Milton. Thanks for your assistance…
Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills begins next chapter

Among pines and oaks, under a clear blue sky, the Congregation of Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, joined by a large group of friends, neighbors, and town and state officials, began to dig a foundation for their future here in Milton. The groundbreaking for their new temple was a joyous event for the congregation and the town after years of seeking a new home. They now have a home thanks to a generous donation of land from Marvin and Andrea Gordon.

Hundreds enjoy Celtic Sunday at Milton Music Festival

Hundreds of people enjoyed lively Celtic music at the second annual Milton Music Festival and Fireworks this past weekend. We Are Milton presented the two-day event and added the Celtic Sunday this year with Irish performers from Dublin, Milton and Greater Boston. The fireworks Saturday night drew more than 1,000 people. Central Ave reconstruction begins . . .today

According to a letter distributed to residents of Central Avenue, dated June 20th, the “reconstruction project will be commencing Monday, June 23, 2014.” It will include installation of granite curbing, reconstruction of sidewalks, bicycle and pedestrian safety improvement, and resurfacing.
