What to do with that leftover Halloween candy

While you may really want to – you don’t have to eat it. As you may be aware, you can go with a buyback program that send the candy overseas to troops. There is a web site here that explains it. Several local dentists participate.

MIT professor to discuss air traffic impacts at Rotary, public invited

In response to a recent discussion on the environmental impact of air traffic in Milton, the Milton Rotary has arranged for Professor Steven R.H. Barrett, Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Director, Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment at the MIT to speak about current research on how to mitigate impacts.

Chief John Grant, Milton: Counting the true cost of fire

Last week, Massachusetts lost three residents to fire. Two young boys, 4- and 9-years-old, died in a fatal blaze in a six-bedroom multi-family home in Lawrence after becoming trapped in their third-floor bedroom. Neighbors and family members were unable to reach them and the fire spread too quickly for firefighters to save them. (Read the full story here.)

Girls Volleyball moving on in playoffs

The MHS Girls Volleyball team the first round of the MIAA Central Div 2 Volleyball Tournament beating St. Peter Marian of Worcester 3-0. They will take on #2 Dedham this Monday in Canton. Thanksgiving Turkey Trot at Turners to benefit Dana Farber

Come one come all to this years 14th annual Turkey Trot.  The trot is set for Thanksgiving morning at 8:00 a.m. This 5k trot starts and finishes at Turners Pond (central Ave side.)  Please come and run or walk this very fun event.  This years turkey trot is in memory of Theresa Singer Haley a resident of Milton
