The Boosters “Cans for Cats” can & bottle recycling drive will be held on Saturday, January 10th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Milton High School. The girls hockey team will be at the front entrance of the high school, 25 Gile Road, to collect your 5 cent cans and bottles to redeem them for cash. Mary A. (Joyce) Byron, age 91, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her loving family on Thursday, December 25, 2014. Most recently a 50 year resident of Milton, she was born in Boston, grew up in Dorchester, and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls.

Sophomore Jack Halloran’s third-period hat trick Friday night carried the Wildcats to a 6-4 win over King Philip in the opening round of the Quincy Youth Hockey Holiday Tournament. Milton will play Quincy in Sunday night’s championship game. (Read the full story here.)

Meeting: Planning Board
The Milton Planning Board will be meeting in the Blute Conference Room at Town Hall on December 30th at 6:30. The agenda includes a hearing on a site approval plan for 556 Adams Street (the proposed restaurant at Falconi property), zoning articles for annual town meeting and a discussion of the development at town farm land.
