The firefighter who was shot in an incident on a Quincy street in December has lost his job.
Joseph Fasano, 30, was fired Friday by Fire Chief John Grant for insubordination and conduct unbecoming a firefighter, Town Administrator Kevin Mearn said. (Read the full story here.)

The Friends and Advocates of the Visual Arts (FAVA) are holding an old school arts & crafts summer camp for elementary school age childeren from 1:00 – 4:00pm at Milton High School beginning the week of July 5th.
This past week Governor Patrick signed antibullying legislation into law. Some advocated describe this legislation as the toughest in the country. The Massachusetts legislature was propelled to act as a result of two tragic events that occurred as a result of unrelenting bullying.
We sat down with Superintendent Mary Gormley, Student Resource Officer Maria Poles, and Assistant Principal Alan Cron to discuss the issue of bullying in the Milton public schools.

There was one major order of business left for Annual Town Meeting last night and that was approving the next steps in the establishment of a new facilities department.

During the second session of Town Meeting Mary Gormley, Superintendent of Schools, presented the FY11 budget and the cuts that were going to be required at the individual as well as district wide.
