12th Annual Monster Dash raises nearly $10K!

This year’s Monster Dash, which drew nearly 350 runners and 150 children for a Kids’ Fun Run and other activities on Halloween, raised close to $10,000 for the Sam Cichello Memorial Fund. The fun run is held in memory of Sam Cichello, a student at the Tucker Elementary School who died following a playground accident in 1999.

Police investigating homicide discovered in Milton

In a grimly macabre coincidence, Milton police are investigating an apparent homicide discovered early this morning, the same day that the Massachusetts Health Council will present a report stating that Massachusetts leads the Northeast in violent crime.

Milton Players’ Streetcar shines darkly

The Milton Players have done it again! Their first production of the season A Streetcar Named Desire closed Sunday afternoon to a full house, and it was a memorable event. All aspects of this production of the Pulitzer-winning play by Tennessee Williams were of professional quality, proving once again that the Milton Players are a jewel in Milton’s crown.

MHS girls x-country run right into state finals

The MHS Wildcat girls cross-country team qualified for the state finals over this past week end. Mairead Kiernan finished 6th and Clara Heiden finished 11th at the 2010 MIAA Eastern Mass Divisional Cross Country Championships at Franklin Park, Boston MA.  The team finished 5th overall.
