In a grimly macabre coincidence, Milton police are investigating an apparent homicide discovered early this morning, the same day that the Massachusetts Health Council will present a report stating that Massachusetts leads the Northeast in violent crime.

The body, which had been mutilated, was discovered on Brierbrook Road (map).

According to Milton Police Chief Richard G. Wells Jr., passersbv found the body of a young man on Brierbrook Street between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. (Read the full story here.)
