MPD Alerts: White male posing as electric company rep / Milton Road Race

Attention Residents.. Over the past few days an unidentified white male approx 30 yrs old has gone to a few homes in Milton stating he is from the electric company. No ID is shown but he is wearing navy blue work pants, shirt and ball cap. Unless someone has a visible ID, DO NOT let them into your home or yard. Call the Milton Police 911 for assistance.
Karen Clasby welcomed as new Director of Pupil Personnel
Karen Clasby, the new director of Pupil Personnel Services, was recently welcomed to the Milton Public Schools.
Ms. Clasby was appointed to the position in March, replacing Patricia DelVal, who was an interim director after the retirement of Jeff Rubin. Both women attended the meet and greet event, held in the Cunningham-Collicot library.

The Milton Public Library is offering a summer reading program for children.

Drug use suspected in rash of break-ins

MPS recognizes the volunteers who help make schools shine
In a small but warm gesture designed to recognize the huge contributions made by variety of organizations, the Milton Public School administration hosted a reception on 6/8 to thank them.
Milton man on Master Chef
Cambridge firefighter Mike Donovan was recently on the reality show Master Chef. He did not get the apron; so maybe Gordon Ramsey isn’t so smart after all. Clearly Donovan is a great guy with great kids and (I bet) a great meal.

Mtg notes: Plan’g Brd 06.10.11 – Board displeased with Hendries delays
Mr. Whiteside and Mr. Jackson were not pleased to hear that Connelly Construction, the developer of the Hendries site, would not be coming back before until September. This was reported to them by Chairman Emily Innes who had a meeting with Jerry and Steve Connelly regarding recent issues that the board had identified regarding the development. Whiteside characterized the Connelly’s timetable as “preposterous.”
