What precinct are you in now?

At a recent meeting of the Board of Selectmen James Mullen, Town Clerk, reviewed a redistricting plan that reduced the number of precincts in town from 11 to 10.

The most significant change was absorbing precinct 10 into precincts 8 and 3. However, all the precincts have all been rejiggered to some degree.

Following is a map based on the new precinct defintions.

Cohasset defeats Milton in Legion baseball

The Cohasset American Legion baseball team (3-2) scored three runs in the first inning Monday night and it proved to be enough to hold off Milton, 6-2. Cohasset’s Casey Burns threw a complete game, striking out five and walking three. (Read the full story here.)

Milton woman dies in Holbrook crash

An 80-year-old Milton woman was killed in a one-car crash on Union Street on Monday afternoon, police said.

Milton Hospital’s Heal Walk beats expectations

Milton Hospital announced that more than 100 walkers participated in its 2nd Annual Community Health Walk held on June 18 at the hospital. The event raised money to fully fund six different local organizations to promote good health initiatives and healthy living throughout the surrounding communities.

Summer Art for Tweens and Teens!

Discovery Arts! offers a unique weekly summer art experience for your older child.  Art workshops for tweens and teens will be running all summer long.  Workshops start June 27 and continue every week through August 12.  Workshops run 8:30 to 4:30, and offer participants an in-depth art experience.

Artspace Milton fundraiser = Packed house

Last night Artspace Milton, a local non-profit startup, held a fundraiser at the First Parish Church and it was a loud, fun, full house.

Artspace Milton is an organization providing arts enrichment to the community. The foundation for the organization is FAVA which has a 7 year track record of delivering arts education in the elementary schools. The goal of Artspace Milton is to build on that foundation and expand the value of that program to people of all ages throughout the community.
