According to a story in today’s Patriot Ledger the Attorney General is seeking to clarify hte language of the Open Meeting law. Milton has on occassion been found to run afoul of this law in the past. The language would emphasize the “intent” of the officials in bypassing the law. You can find the story here.

Milton resident Mark Vonnegut: memoirist and pediatrician

It seems only natural that Mark Vonnegut, the eldest child of Kurt Vonnegut Jr., would become a writer, though his subject would have been harder to predict. In “Just Like Someone Without Mental Illness Only More So,’’ Vonnegut recounts his struggles with bipolar disorder. Vonnegut, a pediatrician, lives with his family in Milton. At the January 4th meeting of the Milton School Committee, the committee heard from Cunningham Principal Karen Spaulding and members of the school’s site council. hey presented MCAS results, highlighting areas of strength and weakness.

Hendries getting a clean up
Residents driving through the Central Avenue business district might have noticed a cherry picker in the small lot of the Hendries building. The equipment is there as part of an apparent clean up effort. A small crew could be seen raking and performing grounds maintenance. A painter was up in the cherry picker touching up the top of the building.
