Recycle Your Family Books and Help a Family in Need
The Milton Public Schools are launching a drive to help Milton residents build home libraries. We are asking the public’s help in this effort and are hosting a “book drive” at Milton High School on Saturday, November 16th at the front door of Milton High School from 9-11am.
Bring your family’s books – children, teen and adult levels will all be accepted – and drop them off here. Our student volunteers will sort the books and get them into the hands of Milton families who would otherwise not have reading materials in their homes. This is a fantastic way to celebrate Family Literacy Month – and clear off some shelf space in your homes!
Research shows that one indicator of academic success is the number of books in a student’s home. Help us to boost student achievement, improve early literacy, enhance community spirit, promote recycling and celebrate literature. Bring us your books and help us share the gift of reading.
