The MIlton School Committee will be meeting in the library at Milton High School on Monday December 16t at :00pm. The agenda includes but is not limited to a votes on the FY15 budget and the annual report. The full agenda for this and all town meetings can be found here.

The Board of Selectmen will be meeting in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall on Tuesday, December 17th at 6:30PM. The agenda includes but is not limited to budget approvals for Group Insurance and the Conservation Commission.

The City of Quincy recently installed its first bike lanes on Adams Street, stretching from Beale Street (near the Milton line) to Furnace Brook Parkway.

Bike Milton and their friends and neighbors at Quincycles cordially invite you to join them at 10 AM this morning, Saturday, at Montilio’s to celebrate the new bike lanes with coffee and muffins and a brief bike ride.

Mtg notes: Planning Board 12.12.13 – B&B, HPP, and medical marijuana discussed; another tree on chopping block

At Thursday’s meeting of the Planning Board, zoning to allow Bed & Breakfast establishments and medical marijuana facilities as well as the status of the housing production plan were discussed. In addition, they signed site plan approval for renovations to be made at 480 Adams Street by East MIlton Realty Trust and deferred any decision regarding the removal of the blue spruce in from to the Henry House on Eliot Street.

Mtg notes: Granite Ave Park & Ride – options reviewed and a discussion with MassDevelopment

The Granite Ave Park & Ride Committee met Wednesday night to carry on with their charge of identifying potential revenue generating uses for the Department of Transportation’s Park & Ride lot on Granite Avenue should the town secure the property. They met with members of MassDevelopment, heard from concerned residents, and reviewed options that have been identified to date.
