Joe Lynch, director of the DPW, met with the Selectmen at their meeting on Monday to discuss a draft amnesty proposal for residents who have been receiving free sewer service. Mr. Lynch explained that the situation came to light. It was “serendipity.”

One of two hot button issues discussed at Monday’s Selectmen’s meeting was the proposed signage for a Sleepy’s store on Granite Avenue. There are two signs being proposed, neither conforms to the bylaws and neither have received the approval of the sign review committee. The second issue concerned amnesty for residents who have not been billed for their sewer service (see post here.)

A Midwife’s Tale will be the second film in this season’s Winter Movie Series of Cong. Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, co-sponsored by Milton’s First Congregational Church. The film, part of the series theme: “Strong and Funny Women,” will be screened on Saturday evening, January 25th at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:45) in Huntington Hall of the First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue, Milton, with entry at the rear door. The film series is open to the public.

The Milton Public Schools are beginning the registration process for students who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2014. Parents and guardians of children who will be five years old on or before August 31, 2014 should take the following steps:
