FAME’s Bottle & Can Drive onSaturday, February 8, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the entrance to Milton High School. Proceeds from the collection go to FAME’s funding of college scholarships and support for music programs in the Milton schools.

The StoryWalk® Project is back in Milton with a new book! Come enjoy this rain or shine, free event sponsored by the Milton Early Childhood Alliance and Milton Public Library. Visit the Library from Sunday, February 16th through Sunday, February 23rd (February School vacation week) and enjoy a story posted outside around their grounds.

Robots Take Over Cunningham Collicot!!

While many had their eyes turned toward the Super Bowl, there was just as fierce a competition taking place here in Milton at the qualifying First Tech Challenge (FTC) tournament.

Run for Red Nation

wildcat_pawMilton High is not hosting its annual Walk-a-Thon this year. In its absence, a senior student, Brendan Hunt, has created the Run for Red Nation. This 5k fun run/walk holds the same purpose of the Walk-a-Thon- to raise money to benefit Milton High School’s sports, clubs, and activities.

Milton Public School Art Students Recognized

The Milton Public Schools are proud to announce that 19 students at Milton High School have been named winners of the 2014 Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. Thousands of student submissions from across the state were judged by a panel from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Milton Native Joins Joyce Staff as Intern

Senator Joyce and Aaron Thomas Senator Brian A. Joyce is happy to welcome Aaron Thomas of Milton as an intern in his legislative office. Aaron is a Milton native who recently finished his undergraduate education at Holy Cross and is applying to graduate schools looking to study history and international relations.

Notice from the Milton Dept of Public Works

Trash/Recycling Collections are CANCELLED for Wednesday FEBRUARY 5, 2014 due to the approaching snow storm.

Milton DPW asks that all trash/recycling NOT BE PUT OUT ON TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Instead place it out on Thursday morning before 7:00 AM. Collections will start on Thursday and continue until Saturday
Make sure to place bins and barrels behind snow mounds away from the street. So please be patient.
