The Board of Selectmen will be meeting in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall on March4th at 6:30pm. The agenda includes but is not limited to: a discussion with MassPort Liaison, taxi fare increase, proposed land exchange with Milton Falls LLC, special town meeting warrant, and Pilot Committee appointments. Freshman Elena Kapolis scored late in regulation and then again in overtime Tuesday as the 26th-seeded Wildcats ousted No. 7 Williams in the preliminary round of the Div. 2 state tournament. (Read the full story here.)

Lecture: A Closer Look at Milton Historical Society

The Milton Historical Society 2014 Winter Lecture Series continues with “A CLOSER LOOK” being held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the historic Suffolk Resolves House, 1370 Canton Avenue, Milton.   Curator Rebecca Migdal has been cataloging many of the objects in the Milton Historical Society collection and she will share some of the more fascinating discoveries from her research.

Jimmy Joyce Announces Candidacy for Town Meeting Member in Precinct Two

A lifelong resident of Milton, Joyce hopes to bring a young person’s perspective to Milton’s volunteer legislative body. “If you honor me with one of your ten votes for Town Meeting Member, I will do my best to make Milton an even better town for residents of all ages,” said Joyce.

Fuller Village Hosts a Film Screening of “The Genius of Marian”

The award winning documentary will be shown on Wednesday, March 5th at 2:00pm in the Function Room at 1372 Brush Hill Rd. Milton.  The film is an intimate family portrait that explores the heartbreak of Alzheimer’s disease, the power of art and the meaning of family. The Genius of Marian follows Pam White in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease as her son, the filmmaker, documents her struggle to hang on to a sense of self.

Friends of Milton Crew is a non-profit organization formed and maintained to promote the sport of rowing; it was established to offer youth and adults in the community with an opportunity to learn how to row and complete. Rowers develop a deep practical understanding of the power of teamwork and what it means to perform as a team.

HUGE night for Boys & Girls hockey & Boys B’ball!

The MHS boys hockey team soundly defeated Brockton 7-3 late yesterday afternoon. AND the Hockey Wildcat girls won too!! Woo Hoo! The women’s hockey squad (26 seed) upset  Archbishop Williams (7 seed)  4-3. Oh yeah!! AND THERE’s MORE!!
