Jimmy Joyce of 95 Hinckley Road is a candidate for Town Meeting Member in Precinct Two. A lifelong resident of Milton, Joyce hopes to bring a young person’s perspective to Milton’s volunteer legislative body. “If you honor me with one of your ten votes for Town Meeting Member, I will do my best to make Milton an even better town for residents of all ages,” said Joyce.
“Not every idea will be costly, and I believe we can achieve savings for taxpayers by operating more efficiently. For example, I would like to see the town renew its commitment to new tree plantings. We lose quite a few each year and they are not being replaced. A very small expenditure would enhance the beauty of our town for years to come.” Additionally, Joyce would seek to prioritize the repaving of Central Avenue and an agreement that will result in redevelopment of the former Hendries site on Eliot Street. Joyce would also advocate for the Precinct Two voting location to be moved back within the precinct.
Jimmy hopes to continue a family tradition of serving in Milton Town Meeting begun fifty years ago by his grandfather, Jerry Joyce, and to join his father, brother, and aunt at the April Town Meeting.
Milton’s Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
