The Milton Library Foundation 10th Annual Literary Gala, Where Stories Begin, will feature renowned authors and friends, Dr. Lisa Genova and Greg O’Brien who have both eloquently covered the topic of Alzheimer’s. The evening will also celebrate the Foundation’s 10th anniversary, highlighting its history, numerous milestones and offer a glimpse into the future.

St. Mary of the Hills Kicks Off the New School Year
On Wednesday, August 27th, St. Mary of the Hills School welcomed back students and families at the annual Welcome Back Picnic. The school celebrated the end of the summer and start of the year with a cookout hosted by Fasano Catering. The kids enjoyed hamburgers, hotdogs and of course ice cold popsicles!

Suspect sought in Morton Terrace break-in

There was brazen robbery on Morton Terrace this afternoon according to a community Facebook post. A resident relates that a robbery took place between 5:49 and 5:51 this afternoon. The time was documented by security cameras installed on the victim’s property. The links below capture video of the woman entering the home and rushing out with a purse.

Yesterday the MPD posted the photo above to their Facebook page of “units on scene at serious motorcycle accident on Reedsdale Rd.” Early this morning while out for a jog I saw a car fly down Central Ave doing ~45mph. And last Wednesday 6 people were injured in a crash on Route 28 here in town. Tomorrow schools will be in full swing. Please drive carefully.

A special Labor Day Monday Morning “Shout Out” to Milton resident Nancy Vaughn (back row, center) and her Girl Power running club. Nancy started the running club as a way for adolescent girls to learn to set and achieve goals. She started with just three girls and now has over 80! Girl Power was one on eight community groups to receive a BID-Milton Community Health grant. Great job, Nancy, and keep on running girls!
