Calling All Former Troop 3 Scouts

As part of Boy Scout Troop 3’s celebration of its 100 years of service to Milton, the Troop is asking for help Identifying every former Troop 3 scout, or scouter, living or deceased.

The Troop is beginning its search with the 115 men who are Eagle scouts. “At every Eagle ceremony, we proudly display our Troop’s Eagle honor roll. It lists the name of every Troop 3 Eagle scout,” said former scoutmaster Dan Melville. “It would be great to know what each of them went on to become. They also can help us find every other former Troop member and discover what they’re doing today.”

Starting from its Eagle honor roll, the Troop has been able to locate about half of its Eagle scouts. The whereabouts of some remain a mystery. The Troop has released the names of the “missing” 1927-1978 Eagles. The troop will release additional names in the coming weeks.

Troop 3 asks anyone with information about these or other former Troop 3 scouts to contact Troop3Centennial@gmail.com or call Michael Vhay at 617-698-2826. The Troop’s 100th anniversary celebration will be December 13, 2014.
