Milton Reads! Milton Rows! Sunday at the Milton Library

Rowing. One of the toughest sports. Rowers will tell you that real athletes row and all others just play games. Come learn about it Sunday, March 15, 2-3:30 PM at the Milton Public Library.

Milton Crew is partnering with the library’s Milton Reads and will be at the library so that you can learn about the sport of rowing and find out about opportunities to row and watch rowing.

Every week, the Preschool and Pre-K classes at St. Mary’s study a new letter of the alphabet. To celebrate “T” week in Preschool, Mrs. Furey’s class held a “Teddy Bear Tea Party in a Tent!” They each colored their own teddy bear necklaces, snacked on Teddy Grahams, and pretended to drink tea, all while camping out in a giant tent in the classroom!

Early Spring Yoga Series

Local yoga teacher Fran Karoff is hosting a series of Friday morning yoga classes at the First Congregatioal Church on five consecutive Fridays from 8:45 – 10 a.m. The dates are March 20, 27, April 3, 10, 17. Email fran.karoff@gmail.com if you are interested in registering.

My love of books and my staunch belief that public libraries are an essential element of communities power my commitment to our own library. With a family history in Milton going back to my grandparents raising their family in a home off of Edge Hill Road, I was delighted to be able to get back to my roots, relocating to Milton last year.

I am very pleased to announce my candidacy for re-election as one of your Milton Public Library Trustees. I enjoy serving as a Milton Library Trustee. As Past-President of both the Milton Library Foundation and the Milton Foundation for Education, and an Overseer of the BIDH-Milton, I have demonstrated my long-standing commitment to supporting Milton organizations that have important impacts on all segments of our community.

Meeting: Board of Selectmen

The Milton Board of Selectmen will be meeting this evening, Thursday, March 12 at 7:00PM in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall. The agenda includes but is not limited to a discussion of The Plate/Liquor license home rule petition, an annual report on Ulin Rink from Curry College, and a discussion of Chap 40B/1.5% land determination.
