The Board of Selectmen are meeting on 8/26 at 6:30 (at Town Landing) and 8:00pm (at Town Hall). The selectmen will do a site walk together with Parks & Rec and the Planning Board of Town Landing / Wharf Street to review Yacht Club and Swift Hat Shop. They will reconvene at town hall and go into executive session to discuss the Hendries site at 8:00. They will go into public session to discuss Hendries (0 Central Ave) and a policy on efficient vehicles. You can find the full agenda here.
Public Meeting on Housing Production Plan
On Wednesday, September 3, at 7:00 p.m., the Planning Board and the Board of Selectmen will hold a public meeting at the Council on Aging, 10 Walnut Street. The sole topic will be the Housing Production Plan (relating to affordable housing) that the Town’s outside consultant, Karen Sunnaborg, has drafted.

Knit, create and make new friends! Knitters of all experience levels are invited to twice monthly drop-in workshops. Bring your own materials, projects and questions. Attend one meeting to get some advice about a tricky stitch, or attend all and help novice knitters learn.
Info night for Fall Masters Crew program
Friends of Milton Crew will be hosting an information night this Wed, August 27 at the library at 7PM. The focus of this session will be the Fall Masters program and will feature Director Milos Nikolic. Masters rowing is for adults; no prior experience is required.
So come, enjoy the cardivascular benefits of rowing without the added joint stress of jogging or step aerobics. You’ll also have an additional topic for discussion at the dinner table.

Firefighters save a life
The following was posted on the Milton Fire Dept’s Facebook page – Like them!
Yesterday Milton Firefighters responded to a call of a man who fell off his bicycle. When they arrived the man was in cardiac arrest and a citizen was performing CPR. They shocked the man with the defibrillator and brought him back to life. Great job by the Lt. Mitch Sumner, Angel Calderon and Dan Finn along with Milton Police, Fallon ambulance and all others who helped save a life.

Obit: Paul Dorsey
We are sorry to report the passing of longtime Milton School teacher and administrator Paul Dorsey. Mr Dorsey, about whom Superintendent Gormley said, “We felt like Paul was a part of our family. I saw Paul many times during the last year. . . He was the ultimate professional and more than that, a gentleman.” Following is his official obituary.
Milton Cultural Council to hold Information Night
