Fontbonne’s Opening Liturgy marks the start the 2012 school year

Fontbonne Academy in Milton officially opened this morning for the new school year, beginning with its traditional Opening Liturgy. Father Gerry McKeon, S.J. of Boston College High School celebrated the Mass, focusing the Liturgy on “loving God and neighbor without distinction.”

Sandy Miller, owner of the popular gift shop, Earthly Possessions, in the Milton Marketplace, has announced she is closing the store after almost 24 years. The Fruit Center Marketplace is not going to renew the lease.

Repair work to close East Milton bridge

Repair work will close the Wood Street bridge in East Milton beginning Friday, Sept. 7.
