At this time based on our information and investigation, the suspect in this mornings break on Eliot St, acted ALONE. The information about a second suspect does not appear to be credible. He was in Quincy District Court for arraignmnet this pm.
He is NOT THE SUSPECT we are seeking for the break on Emerson Rd. that happened Monday.

Tonight I attended the Conservation Commission meeting wishing to comment on the Milton Riverwalk at the Landing.
Since I was unable to find the right context for appropriate comment, I am writing to you all now.

The citizens of Milton deserve your support for opening our access to the Dorchester side of the Neponset River.

Learn to Skate Program Ends 48th Season

Screen Shot 2013-04-10 at 7.33.02 AMThe Milton Youth Hockey’s Learn to Skate Program which began in 1965 has recently ended another very successful season – its 48th to be exact. This year’s ice skating program was held on Sundays at the Ulin Rink in Milton.

Reminder: April 10 is deadline to register to vote

The LAST DATE TO REGISTER FOR THE ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION AND SPECIAL STATE PRIMARY is Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The Office of the Town Clerk will host a registration session on this date and will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. You may register in person or by mail. To register to vote in person, you must appear and register at the Town Clerk’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on the last day to register.

Fontbonne Academy Holds French and Spanish Honor Society Induction

Fontbonne Academy inducted nineteen students into their French and Spanish Honor Societies today in the Fontbonne Convent chapel. The students, mostly sophomores and juniors, gathered for multilingual prayer and song. Each young woman was awarded colored cords reflecting their language which they will eventually wear at their graduation. They also received a certificate for their respective honor society.

BE ALERT, when you go out, lock your house, leave a TV or radio on, and do not be afraid to communicate with your neighbors.

Comment period extended for Brush Hill Road 40B development

The Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency has granted an extension to the comment period for a proposed 40B development on Brush Hill Road. The proposal from Mill Creek to build 276 apartment units has met with strong opposition from the neighbors and local organizations including Friends of the Blue Hills, NepRWA, and The Wakefield Trust.
