There is no reason to be fearful or alarmed regarding yesterdays post about the B&E. Our best weapon is an attentive, yes, even a nosy resident. The last thing a would be thief wants to see is you. BE ALERT, when you go out, lock your house, leave a TV or radio on, and do not be afraid to communicate with your neighbors. We have received info from Quincy Detectives that they have had a couple of similar breaks in their city, near yesterdays crime. Our best weapon is YOU. Do not be alarmed… if you need us at all, just call 911. It is highly likely, that when this subject is caught, one of you will play a role in this arrest!!! Have a good day.

This morning we had a daytime break on Emerson Rd. The suspect, believed to be a white male kicked in the FRONT DOOR to an unoccupied dwelling. The home was rummaged and several items of value stolen.

One resident reports seeing a white sedan about 10:30 this morning. PLEASE pay attention to your neighborhood. This suspect may target other homes based on his success today. Your role as citizens is very important. If you see ANYONE YOU do not recognize, especially if they walk or drive into a driveway, call MPD right away.
