Update: MPD Notice – Eliot St house break foiled

Notice from the Milton Police Department (note you can “friend” the MPD on Facebook)

UPDATE- Housbreaks:
At this time based on our information and investigation, the suspect in this mornings break on Eliot St, acted ALONE. The information about a second suspect does not appear to be credible. He was in Quincy District Court for arraignmnet this pm.
He is NOT THE SUSPECT we are seeking for the break on Emerson Rd. that happened Monday.

Point: while today brought quick success and for a second day their were no crimes in East Milton, we still ask that you remain alert. We appreciate your patience, attention and time on these important issues. Your effort helps to make Milton safe.

We have just had a residential break in the 70 block of Eliot Street. The resident was home alone and heard his basement window smash and immediately dialed 911. Officers located one suspect in the basement and the second suspect fled on foot to the trolley. Subject in custody is a Boston resident with a very lengthy criminal record. Resident did the right thing by calling 911 right away. Very good work by all.
