Milton residents sing in Quincy Chorale’s premier of Yizkor Requiem

The Quincy Choral Society and Orchestra with John Nichols, Music Director, presents Lest We Forget on Sunday, May 6 at 7:30 pm featuring the Boston area premier of Thomas Beveridge’s Yizkor Requiem.

This powerful piece combines the memorial services of the Jewish and Catholic religions, evoking themes of remembrance and comfort.

Grade 5 Sock Hop – all 5th graders welcome!

Boy Scout Troop 5 is sponsoring a Sock Hop for all Milton 5th graders. Students from all Milton’s schools, public and private are invited. It all happens at Cunningham Hall on may 4th from 7:00-9:00PM. Music will be managed by DJ Stacy Smith and the $10 admission includes a glow light, snack and drink. (note: parents must be present to pick up children @ 9:00)

Movie “Fresh” to be screened at East Congregational Church

East Congregational Church will be screening the movie Fresh. If you eat one to three meals a day you should see this movie. The first step to change is awareness. Building awareness is the Earth
Steward’s mission. Where “Food Inc” was filled with shock value, “Fresh” deals with the same subject matter but is a more solution-based movie.

Representative Timilty to hold Milton office hours

Representative Walter Timilty will be holding office hours in Milton on May 2nd from 10:00 – 11:00PM at Town Hall in the Blute Conference Room. All residents are encouraged to stop in and voice concerns, ask questions, or share their views.

Taste of Dorchester to benefit MA Affordable Housing Alliance

Already a community tradition, the 4th annual Taste of Dorchester® sponsored by the non-profit Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance brings together some of the neighborhood’s best restaurants and hundreds of residents to sample some delicious food and support a great cause. This year’s event will be Thursday, April 26 from 6-8PM at IBEW Local 103, 256 Freeport Street in Dorchester.
