Only 3 for Clerk as Conlin drops out of race

David Conlin a candidate for Town Clerk notified the Clerk’s office that he was withdrawing his name from the ballot. Yesterday was the last day for candidates to witdraw from a race. They were required to notifiy the Clerk in writing which Mr. Conlin did.

There are now three candidates: Susan Galvin, Mike Joyce, and Marion McEttrick

Keohane announces his campaign for Board of Selectmen

Denis Keohane, current member of the Milton School Committee, is announcing his candidacy for the Milton Board of Selectmen.

A 20-year resident of Milton, Denis was born in Kinsale, Ireland. He came to America at the age of 21 seeking a better life. A chance meeting with Tom Flatley, who became his mentor, launched Denis’s highly successful career in real estate.

Cheryl Tougias Announces Candidacy for Planning Board

Cheryl Tougias has announced her candidacy for a seat on the Milton Planning Board and seeks your vote on April 24th.

“This important board is charged with land use decisions that help preserve the character of the town and shape its future. I would like to add my considerable experience as an architect, my commitment to historic preservation and my interest in sustainable design to the mix of skills on this very critical town board,” said Tougias.

McEttrick Will Run for Milton Town Clerk

The following was submitted by the candidate

Marion V. McEttrick, former Milton selectman, wants to serve Milton’s residents as town clerk. She seeks to replace James G. Mullen, Jr. who has retired. In the announcement of her candidacy for town clerk she made the following statement:

I am running for town clerk to bring energy and commitment to that key office. Most importantly I will be a town clerk who is politically independent and has a proven record of service to Milton residents. I believe that my twelve years as selectman and other town service qualify me for the job.
