This workshop will begin at 6:30 pm with a short demonstration by Lisa Ahern from Cedar Grove Gardens, who will show how to build a wreath and turn it into a custom-made show stopper!

Great turnout for Best Buddies Gobbler

Sure it was a little on the chilly side but the sun was out and so was the crowd to run & walk in the Milton 5K Gobbler for Best Buddies. Almost five hundred folks ran the race and several hundred more walked. Mark Brissette of Roslindale finished first with a time of 16:38 (whoa!). The first place woman was Clare Martin of Newton with a time of 18:54 (sheesh!). But most important of all, according to web site, the event raised over $45,000 for a great organization.

On Friday 11/14/2014 about 2230 hours, Newcomb Farms restaurant on Rte.28 was broken into by an unknown white male. Video surveillance captured the suspect breaking a side window, gain entry and walking throughout the building.
Quincy Choral Society presents “O Star”

The Quincy Choral Society will begin its 34th season with a concert of holiday music on December 7, 2014. The major work of the evening is Karl Jenkins’ Stella Natalis, which is written for chorus, orchestra, soprano, and trumpet. The soloists will be Chelsea Beatty, soprano, and Stephen Banzaert, trumpet.

Mtg notes: Stoughton Trustees 11.19.14 – No evidence of Native American burials at Town Farm

The Board of Selectmen in their capacity as Trustees of the Governor Stoughton Trust heard from Mary Harper and Sarah Sportman of Archeological and Historical Services Inc. who had performed a survey of the old Town Farm to determine if it was a Native American burial site. They concluded it is not. “There is not ambiguity about it,” said Ms. Harper.
