PSAT: Students in Grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT Exam) today. Report directly to your GRADE HOMEROOMS at 7:50. Please bring two #2 pencils and a calculator, if you wish to use one. You may purchase one or two tickets, and you must sign a notice of consent at the point of purchase. Ticket sales begin today after school in room 222. Consult flyers or Ms. Crowley with questions.
Spanish Club: There will be a Spanish Club Meeting today immediately after school in room 313. We are working on our Day of the Dead lesson. If you want to attend the Day of the Dead visit to the pre school you must attend the meetings and help with the lesson.

High winds and cooler temperatures look to make it a cold four-day work week, according to the National Weather Service, which reported today that temperatures will drop each day, culminating in a possibly rainy, 40-degree Friday.
“Temperatures are going to be averaging around 10 degrees below normal for this time of year,” said weather service meteorologist Neal Strauss in Taunton. (Read the full story here.)

Outdoors Club: The Outdoors Club will meet today after school in room 212. This meeting is mandatory for any students who want to hike Mount Monadnock on November 8th. There is limited space available, and priority will go to students who attend the meetings.

I-93 South Approaching and through Downtown: Nighttime Multi-lane Closures
Two-to-three lanes of I-93 South will be closed at night approaching and through Downtown Sunday and Monday, October 4 and 5, 2009 and Wednesday and Thursday, October 7 and 8, 2009 from 11:30 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. These lane closures are for inspections and maintenance work.
The First Parish Church is calling all Empty nesters on Oct 16th 7-9pm in Parish Hall.
The Caring comm. will host its 2nd annual discussion for those parents who are now facing or have faced the departure of a college bound child. Whether this is your first child, last or your Malcolm in the middle, we want to hear your thoughts about the transitions taking place in your lives. So come share your glee, your tears or your concerns, about your next year’s high school graduate with other parents in an understanding and warm environment.

Streaks, good and bad, remained intact Friday night in the football match-up between Weymouth High and Milton High Schools.
