MHS Bulletin for 10.14.09

  • PSAT: Students in Grades 10 and 11 will be taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT Exam) today. Report directly to your GRADE HOMEROOMS at 7:50. Please bring two #2 pencils and a calculator, if you wish to use one. Attendance will be taken and we urge everyone to be prompt. “Lists of Homeroom assignments for the PSAT’s are posted around the building.”
  • PSAT: Freshman and Seniors will report to school at 11:15 today.
  • Fall Fling: Are you coming to the Fall Fling? It’s Tuesday, November 10 (no school the next day). The cost is $22, payable only by check (made out to MHS) from you or your parent/guardian. You may purchase one or two tickets, and you must sign a notice of consent at the point of purchase. Ticket sales begin today after school in room 222. Consult flyers or Ms. Crowley with questions.
  • Spanish Club: There will be a Spanish Club Meeting today immediately after school in room 313. We are working on our Day of the Dead lesson. If you want to attend the Day of the Dead visit to the pre school you must attend the meetings and help with the lesson.

  • Key Club: The Key Club will be meeting today.  New members welcome!
  • Pep Rally: Any Senior interested in serving on the Pep Rally Committee
  • should sign up outside room 122. There will be a meeting for the Pep Rally Committee after school today at 2:20 in room 122.
  • Life Smarts: There is still time to join Life Smarts. Our next meeting
  • will be today school in room 307. For more information see Ciaran Conners, Shane Grey, Tucker Kibbee, Ben Richman, Jay Rosenberg or Mike Rodensky.
  • Mini Fair: On Thursday, Milton High will host the final Mini Fair during B period from 8:40 to 9:32. Juniors and Seniors will need permission slips signed by their B period teachers. Forty-two colleges will be represented. A

  • Sewing Club: The Sewing Club will meet on Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 243. New members always welcome.
  • ECHO: The ECHO is now accepting submissions for the winter issue. You can receive extra credit or community service for your artistic efforts. Submit your prose, poems, or art work today! Look for the envelopes in English classrooms, or see Mr. Radosta in room 220.
  • Key Club: October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Key Club is raising money for the Breast Cancer Foundation through the sale of long sleeve shirts with a special logo. The shirts are $15.00 and will be sold at lunches. $8.50 from the sale of each shirt will go to the foundation. For more

Community Service Opportunities

Community service forms are located in the Main Office.

  • Carriage House: The Carriage House School is looking for help at its Halloween Festival on October 24th from 9am-3pm. See Ms. Wright to sign up.
  • Tucker After School Program: The Tucker After School Program is accepting used Legos.  If you would like to earn community service hours please donate!!! See Amanda Giammarco or Vincent Ryan for details.

Completed service forms should be given to your Guidance Counselor.
