Mary Parker was a driving force behind one of the most successful seasons for the women’s hockey program at Harvard. The 5-foot-9 junior wing from Milton pumped in 17 goals and added 22 assists for a team-leading 39 points as the Crimson captured the Beanpot crown, the Ivy League title, and the ECAC championship. The Eire Society of Boston will hold its 78th Gold Medal Dinner on Saturday evening, 25 April at 6pm at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. This year, the Gold Medal Honoree is Dr. Catherine B. Shannon, Professor Emerita of History at Westfield State University.

Mtg notes: Selectmen 03.24.15 – Updates re: DPW, Animal Shelter; Condo article; and Ulin rink

The board received updates on a variety of topics. They included a DPW report, the new Animal Shelter, a general condo article, and the status of the Ulin rink.

First up was DPW Director Joe Lynch. His update included but was not limited to the following:

  • Chapter 90 funds (i.e. state funds earmarked for road and infrastructure improvements) will be used to repave and repair the following Milton streets:

Greg Derr/Pool — Jonathan E. Villagran, 19, was arraigned in Quincy District Court.

The Watertown man who prompted a lockdown at Milton High School Wednesday afternoon allegedly arrived carrying a loaded gun, a magazine of ammunition, two bags of marijuana, a bottle of rum, and nearly $3,000, a prosecutor said Thursday. (Read the full story here.)
