Munchkin, a 4 year old neutered male terrier mix, is residing up at hte animal shelter on Governor Stoughton Lane. On the whole he would rather be living somewhere else. He is a sweet guy and you can learn more about him by calling the Animal League at (617) 698-0413.
The Board of Selectmen will be meeting in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall on Monday July 7th. They are going into executive session at 6:15pm and scheduled to begin their open session at 7:00pm. The agenda includes but is not limited to: attending DPW forum on water & sewer rate, a discussion of town owned portion of Hendries, and a permanent lit sign at 480 Adams Street. Milton is one of 176 school districts in the Commonwealth that will be administering the PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) standardized test rather than MCAS. Katie Conlon, Chair of the Board of Selectmen, provided an update regarding the Hendries building at Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Board of Selectmen. Conlon had attended a meeting with Senator Joyce, Planning Board Chair Alex Whiteside, and Jerry Connelly, a principal of Carrick Realty to explore reviving the proposal to have Carrick develop a mixed used building at the Hendries site.
The Annual 4th of July Races will be held at Kelly Field at 9:15 AM on Friday July 4th . Kids from 2 to 12 will be running as well as Parent and Child. Ribbons will be awarded, flags will be given out. Facepainting for all the kids. The fire department will have its antique fire truck for the kids to see and “drive”. Hoodsies for everyone. Sponsored by Milton Parks and Recreation and the Milton Kiwanis. Everything is free. Come, enjoy and make it a condition.

The Milton Department of Public Works will hold a public forum to discuss water and sewer rate issues on Monday, July 7th at 7:00 p.m. The forum is open to the public and will be held in the Cronin Conference Room, located on the Second floor of Town Hall, 525 Canton Avenue.
