Brief bits: Reedsdale break-in and animal drop offs

A resident reports that on Thursday someone kicked in her front door and gained entry to the home on Reedsdale Road. House alarms and an alert dog may have convinced the perpetrator to flee. If you noticed anything suspicious in the vicinity of Milton Hospital please contact the Milton Police Department. The MPD strongly encourage residents to report any suspicious activity at any time.

Soul Singer Gordon Michaels performs at Riverside Theater Works

Don’t Miss Brookwood Community Farm’s annual Farm-to-Table Harvest benefit!

Brookwood’s second annual Farm to Table dinner will take place Sunday, September 21, 4:00-7:00pm at the Bradley Estate, just down the road in Canton. This not-to-be-missed event will feature a chef-prepared farm-to-table dinner featuring all locally sourced food, craft beer, local wine and live music. I hope you’ll join us for this important event that support Brookwood’s mission.

MHS Girls & Boys Basketball Car Wash

Stop by the Cunningham school from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 20th and get your car washed by your super wildcat athletes. The girls and boys basketball teams will wash your car to raise money for their teams. All funds earned go directly to the basketball teams.

Obituary: David Coen

David J. Coen, 43, of Boston, originally of Milton, passed away unexpectedly in Montego Bay, Jamaica, August 30.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Milton and has lived in Boston since 1999. David attended St. Agatha’s School in Milton, Boston College High School, and went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Remembering 9/11/01 on 9/11/14

To all those here who 13 years ago said good bye to friends and family who would not return; to those in the west waiting for friends and family who would never arrive; to all those who through duty, or conscience, and out of bravery and sacrifice helped get us through a terrible trial – we remember.
