Wind gusts hit 62MPH on Blue Hill
Last night there were wind gusts of up to 62 MPH recorded on Great Blue Hill. There is a remarkable tool that reports storm data. Hard core weather buffs may like it. The performance is a littel sluggish but you can find here.

Some facts regarding the Howe House (St Elizabeth’s Rectory)

The Howe House which is owned by the Roman Catholice Archdiocese of Boston and which they seek to tear down in order to improve their opportunity to sell the property has an interesting history. Here is a quick summary:
- The Howe house at 597 Randolph Avenue was built in in 1830 by Joseph N. Howe on land his wife inherited. It is thought to have been built with local granite. There was an active quarrying industry at that time at end of Quarry Lane and adjacent to Lyman Road.
YA Authors Discuss Path to Publication

This morning (9/15) at 11:45 am, the male subject pictured here, entered the Citizens Bank at 420 Granite Ave. This suspect passed a note to the teller indicating his intent to rob the establishment. Governor commemorates Harvest for Students Week @ MHS

The governor proclaimed this week as “Harvest for Students Week” in Massachusetts. Over 200 schools are serving fresh produce to their students in the cafeteria this week. Over 114 local farmers are delivering their fresh produce to our students.
Milton was visited by the Governor this morning and who thanked everyone for the great work being done in Milton. Our congrats to all!

We all mourned the closing of Parsons Table in Winchester last fall, and now, nearly exactly a year later, Chris Parsons is finally ready to announce his next move: Steel & Rye, a 145-seat restaurant in Milton that’s coming by mid-October (as for that downtown Catch location we promised last September? 9/17 – A VERY ALERT Milton resident took notice of two SP males that walked into a driveway on Cliff Rd. today. MPD officers intercepted the two Boston men at the corner of Eliot and Cliff Rd. Both men had criminal records including recent breaks in Metro Boston. We have identified and interviewed both.
