The East Congregational Church announces its Third Annual Drum Circle. This event will be led by members of HandReach, an organization which for 10 years has focussed on providing trauma therapy to children in the U.S. and abroad, particularly amputees and severe burn victims. Having witnessed the healing power of drumming in their therapy sessions, HandReach formed a team focussed on drumming, called the Beat Brigade.

UPDATE- CVS Robbery from yesterday. Last night, MPD officers and Detectives were able to disseminate some very good information and photos of the robbery at CVS. Working with Boston Police Detectives assigned to the Boston Police Regional Intelligence Center (BRIC), all law enforcement agencies in Metro Boston received this detailed info. Early this afternoon an alert Mass. State Trooper stopped a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect car in Dorchester. Milton officers responded to this location

At annual meeting Library Foundation presents $20,000 to library
The Milton Library Foundation (MLF) recently held its Annual Meeting at the Milton Library where they elected new officers and directors for the coming year. In addition, the group reviewed previous year accomplishments and discussed strategies and plans for 2013.

Milton CVS robbed of painkillers, amphetamines

Police are looking for the man who robbed the CVS on Bassett Street Saturday afternoon.
A man carrying what was described as a silver folding knife robbed the store of about 1,200 Percocet pills and 500 amphetamines at about 4 p.m., according to police radio broadcasts. (Read the full story here.)
