The celebrated Irish Tenor, Dr. Ronan Tynan, is returning to Boston’s historic Wilbur Theatre on Sunday March 15th, at 7:30 pm, for a distinctive one night St. Patrick’s holiday concert.

For over 15 years, Ronan has enjoyed a very special relationship with American audiences.

“America is powerful and intense, and it begs you to take it on,” Tynan marvels. “If you do that and do it right, it will give you absolutely everything you want. The thing I love about America is that there are so many people who want you to do well. They will you to do well. They encourage you, and they rejoice in your success. That’s a great virtue. I think Americans are fantastic people, amazing,” he says. And while Dr. Tynan claims that America has given him so much more than he’ll ever be able to give back, those who have attended his concerts, bask in the stirring beauty of his music while rolling with laughter at his self-effacing humor, may well just have to disagree.

Joining Ronan as his very special guest this evening is local talent and Cambridge Police Lieutenant Pauline Wells. The two met at a 9/11 memorial concert in Manhattan almost ten years ago and have become good friends. Pauline’s first appearance as Ronan’s guest was at the Wilbur Theatre back in 2009. Ronan and Pauline share a common thread in their exceptional ability to “touch the hearts” of each audience. Concert goers young and old will be touched to the core by the big Irishman and the very tall and beautiful Irish American cop!

Sunday evening March 15th, promises to be a marvelous and memorable concert. Tickets are $32-$55 and be purchased online by going to www.thewilbur.com.
