“Political Lives” is the theme of this season’s Winter Movie Series of Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, co-sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Milton, and open to the public. The opening film is “Frost/Nixon” on Saturday evening, November 22nd at 7:00 p.m., doors open at 6:45. The film will be screened in Huntington Hall of the First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue, Milton, with entry at the side door.
“Frost/Nixon” was directed by Ron Howard and released in 2008. It portrays the legendary battle between Richard Nixon, the disgraced president with a legacy to save, and David Frost, a TV host with a name to make. After three years of silence after being forced from office, in 1977 Nixon agreed to the all-inclusive interview with Frost to confront the question of his time in office and the Watergate scandal, resulting in a charged battle of wits.
The donation for admission is $3.00 per person, or two for $5.00. Advance reservations get a free popcorn or bottle of water. Become a Movie Series Sponsor for $18 and get tickets for all three movies in the series, with preferred seating, popcorn and drinks.
