Six years after opening an office in Milton, Dr. Deedee Gurin DMD, LLC has added another dentist to her practice to accommodate the growing number of patients. Dr. Sharon Schrott has joined the office at 4 Franklin Street. Dr. Schrott is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine and has a Master of Medical Sciences degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also studied in Geneva, Switzerland and was in private practice in Germany prior to relocating to the Boston area.
According to Dr. Gurin, Dr. Schrott has already established a loyal following of her own in the short time that she has been there. “It was important to find someone who shared my commitment to providing the highest level of patient care, but who would also fit in with the practice,” Dr. Gurin said. “We make an effort to get to know our patients and develop a trusting relationship with them. I am delighted that Dr. Schrott shares that goal.”
Dr. Gurin’s practice provides a wide array of dental services, including teeth whitening and the popular CEREC procedure in which the patient can get a same day crown with no temporary crown or second appointment needed. The laboratory and treatment rooms employ leading edge sterilization technology to ensure patient comfort and safety, and the staff offers digital X-rays to significantly reduce radiation exposure for patients. “We have invested in the most sophisticated equipment on the market to give our patients the peace of mind they deserve,” Dr. Gurin said.
Dr. Gurin is a graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine, where she now teaches. She is also the president of the South Shore District Dental Society and volunteers locally for Special Olympics and the CHIPS dental identification program for children. In addition, she has traveled numerous times to Nicaragua to provide free dental care and education for poor children in that country.
