The Board of Selectmen will be holding a hearing on the “Stretch Energy Code” on August 5th at 6:30pm.

There will be an article on the warrant for Special Town Meeting regarding this change to building codes. The change pertains to the use of energy-efficient techniques and materials in home construction. The adoption of stretch codes is one of 5 criteria the town needs to adopt to qualify as a green community. Once designated as a green community, a municipality is eligible for state grants.
